(-Published-)Product Overview

A product is an item offered for sale. In Eshopbox app, there are three types of product:

• Base: A Single product.

• Virtual Combo: Two or more products that are stored as individual units but packed at the time of order processing.

• Kit: Two or more products that are physically packed together and kept in stock as one unit.

Using Product feature of Eshopbox App you can:

• View, create and update products

• View inventory

• Make the product available to one or more of your sales channels.

Note: If your product has options, like size or color, then you need to add each variant as an individual product.

Following are the attributes that define a product:

• Name to identify the product. You can assign multiple unique names to a single product. For example EAN, UPC, GTIN. 

• A brief description of the product like brand, vertical.

• A product needs to be configured with details like:

  • HSN code and tax code

  • Weight and Dimension

  • Pricing

• Availability of the product on different sales channel having details likes:

  • Name of the channel on which the product is available

  • Channel code and listing id assigned by the channel to the product

  • Sku by which the product is listed on the channel.

  • Product page URL from the sales channel

  • Inventory which is blocked against a sales channel. This blocked inventory won't be available for sale on any other channel except the channel on which it is blocked.

  • Inventory that is allocated and available for sale on sales channels.

• Custom fields: You can assign multiple custom fields to the product as per the requirement.

• Stock: Quantity of a product that is available at the Eshopbox FC. You can store inventory in multiple Eshopbox FC. Below statuses helps you in keeping track of inventory:

  • Sellable: Inventory which is available for sale.

  • Non-Sellable: Inventory that cannot be made available for sale. It is because Eshopbox rejected it during the inspection. The inspection could be during various activities at FC - receiving the consignment, receiving returns, etc.

  • Inward in progress: Inventory for which inward is in progress. It includes:

    • Consignment items pending for inward

    • Received returns yet to restock

  • Outward in progress: Inventory for which outward is in progress. It includes:

    • Orders items pending to ship

    • Recall consignment items pending for handover.

Actions:

• Create: You can create a product using Eshopbox App. Multiple products can be created at once as well. 

• Edit: To modify the attributes of a product, you can edit the product.

• Manage Product availability: You can manage the sales channel on which the product is available.

Status:

• Active: The product is created with all the required attributes.

• Draft: The product is created with basic details. Details required to configure a product are not yet provided.
