Article Styling Guide on Intercom
Below is the article styling guideline designed for help articles. We have assigned each guideline with a unique code. We will use these codes for pointing errors in the help articles and help the author resolve the errors. We have divided the guidelines into different sections.
1. Headings
S1: Give space before the headings. Do not give space after the heading.
S2: Use H1 for heading and H2 for subheadings
S3: All headings should be in bold.
S4: Do not link the headings.
S3: There should not be consecutive headings. If such a situation arises, a short description should follow the heading.
S4: Use sentence case for headings. Don't capitalize random words in the middle of headings.
2. Article Body
S5: There should be spacing between 2 consecutive paragraphs.
S6: You should highlight important words in bold.
S7: Full stop should not be part of linking.
S8: Remove extra spacing at the end of the article.
S9: Capital letters in the middle will only be used for abbreviations, Eshopbox, and navigation. For the rest, it will be in small letters.
S10: Action buttons in UI will be in bold and italics. e.g. save
3. Notes
S 11: Notes will be in italics and bold.
S 12: The sign of bulb emoji to be downloaded from this link: https://emojipedia.org/light-bulb/. Click on Copy and paste on the intercom.
S13: There should be spacing before and after the notes.
4. Screenshots
S 14: The screenshot should be clear with data.
S16: There should be spacing after the screenshot/image.
S 17: The screenshot is taken should be of the best quality, on a 100% zoom.
