On-Call(Deprecated)

  • Typically 1 person is assigned for On-call of the week

  • This person is required to be POC for any kind of bug/glitches in the system

  • Responsible for identifying the problem and short term hack if possible

  • Stack driver notifications

  • Tools used in the system, what kind of metrics to be set and notification to be sent

  • Configure Alerts and Alarms should be gathered in a common repository

  • The repository should be segregated team-wise and could be a Jira project

  • On-call person to ensure Any issues reported should be looked upon and be responsible for fixes (short term hack).

  • P3 o P4 will be pinged during the day

  • P1 and P2 can be pinged anytime

  • Operational excellence and Engineering excellence (sonar & other tools)

  • Weekly handoff meeting to the next on-call person

  • Identification of short term hacks to be automated

 

On cal Policy for;

  • Shopping Engine Project / Eshopbox website

  • Eshopbox Workspace and Warehouse portal

2 on-call (front end and backend)
Document team-wise for “How to diagnose what and when”
Infra Diagram of flows and metrics for stack driver for alarms and issues (
On-call person to document the issues and the RCA with resolution (RCA format)
Handoff meeting weekly with SD2’s of meeting
