Create a Statement

A statement helps you to manage your receivables and payables by summarising payments. It makes tracking easy and saves a lot of time and effort otherwise spent with an excel sheet. Creating a statement is recommended when:

  • you operate with a seller account not owned by you.

  • you have hired collection agents as your payment service providers

  • you want to track a specific segment.

 

Before you start

  • You should have all the required receivables and payables created.

  • You should how to filter receivables and payables to get underlying data for the statement.

  • You have added all payouts received at the bank.

Steps to Create a Statement

Navigate to Payments> Payouts> Statements>+ Create a Statement and follow the below steps to create a new statement.

Start Date and Lock Date with respect to archiving. Archived data will not be a part of the statements.

Step I - Select Receivables

Filter your receivables based on the below variables to get a niche set:

  • Portal

  • Payment method used by the customer to make the payment.

  • Selling Party

  • Brand

  • Warehouse

  • Seller Account

  • Sales Channel

  • Product Verticle

  • Shipping Zone

  • Payment Status: You can select multiple statuses to filter receivables. If no value is selected, all statuses are chosen.

  • Courier Partner

Following dates will be considered with respect to a receivable:

  • Paid Date when the receivable has only payments against it.

  • Refund Date when the receivable also has refunds against it.

  • Due Date when the receivable has no payment or refunds against it.

Step II - Select Payables

Filter your payables based on the below variables to get the desired set:

  • Portal

  • Payment method used by the customer to make the payment.

  • Brand

  • Warehouse

  • Seller Account

  • Sales Channel

  • Product Category

  • Shipping Zone

  • Fee Name allows you to select specific types of payables. You can select multiple fees or just a single fee like Shipping Fee.

Following dates will be considered with respect to a payable:

  • Paid Date when the receivable has only payments against it.

  • Refund Date when the receivable also has refunds against it.

Only payables against which you have at least one payment will be considered.

Step III - Assign a contact

Select a contact from the dropdown you want to assign to this statement. This is an optional step.
